The Fox and the Grapes 狐狸与葡萄

Once upon a time, a hungry fox saw a bunch of juicy grapes hanging from a vine. The fox jumped and tried to reach the grapes, but they were too high for him. After many failed attempts, the fox gave up and walked away, saying, "Those grapes are probably sour anyway!"

This story teaches us that sometimes when we can't get what we desire, we pretend that it was not worth having in the first place. It is important to be honest with ourselves and not belittle things out of our reach.
